This large room has an open fireplace for a roaring wood fire and very comfortable seating for more than 6 people. The smart TV has Sky, including Sports (Sky Box Office, movies and pay-per-view events can be bought at cost.) There’s WiFi, a dining table seating 6 and an extensive library with plenty of literature including hundreds of books for food lovers. We also have plenty of children’s books. This room is for your private use when staying at the Rectory, and also where we will serve you breakfast.
We have four acres of grounds including borders full of flowers and herbs, a lavender garden and woodland area. There is plenty of outside seating plus a huge outdoor dining table and two barrel barbecues.
Below the house is a paddock full of wild orchids in summer, a fruit cage, asparagus bed and two greenhouses. The vegetable garden is a work in progress. We inherited the garden from a couple who lived in the house for over 50 years and were keen plantsmen, leaving us many interesting plants, trees and shrubs in the lower garden. We are in the process of restoring this garden, please bear with a few weeds while we do this.
